West Ham fans have been discussing potential midfield targets this summer, and an incredible majority have opted against signing a long time target.
Last week, reports suggested West Ham are once again eyeing up a swoop for Leander Dendoncker.
The Anderlecht man is a classic, towering, strong defensive midfielder, but he is also wonderfully gifted with the ball at his feet, and his passing ability would keep the Hammers ticking over nicely in midfield.
If there’s one man that’s been linked with the Hammers more than Dendoncker though, it’s William Carvalho.
The colossal Portuguese midfielder has been linked with moves to the Premier League constantly since his impressive Euro 2016 showing, but it doesn’t seem like fans are too impressed by his performances thus far at the World Cup.
The 26 year-old Sporting CP star has looked slow and ponderous in midfield for the European champions, and it’s turned fans completely against making a move.
An incredible 97 per cent said they’d prefer to sign Dendoncker, who is undoubtedly the more technically gifted player of the two.
