Albian Ajeti has been slammed by Paul Robinson after West Ham United's 1-1 draw against Everton, as reported by Football Insider.

What did he say?

The striker was only brought onto the field of play for the last six minutes when he replaced Manuel Lanzini, but still produced a ludicrous moment of madness.

This came when he shoved his head back into Mason Holgate's face, which lead to the Everton centre-back going down in a heap.

He may have got away with it, but Robinson still feels that this was a stupid idea from the Switzerland international: “You can’t do that! Especially with VAR, you can’t do anything.

“So he was very very lucky not to get sent off, and especially as he has played very few minutes this year, and very little football so you don’t want to be coming on and getting sent off.

“So it was a very silly move on his behalf, to run the risk of being sent off.”

Ludicrous decision making

The former England goalkeeper is absolutely right, as it was brainless that Ajeti decided to do that.

Whether this is linked to frustrations about his general time at West Ham is unknown, but if he is to get himself into David Moyes' good books then the 22-year-old needs to show that he can be relied upon. His actions ultimately did the complete opposite.

He has played just 128 minutes of Premier League football this season, from eight substitute appearances, alongside his two Carabao Cup starts, failing to get a single goal or assist.

Call yourself a West Ham expert? How much did each of these January signings cost?

Considering how underwhelming Ajeti has been, he should be doing absolutely everything he can to prove himself.

However, it has to be said that this is one of the most memorable things the Switzerland international has done in a West Ham shirt so far - that alone summarises his time in East London.

Meanwhile, West Ham fans were left in despair after ExWHUemployee's transfer claim.
