During the West Ham Way Podcast 165, ExWHUemployee suggested that both Anthony Scully and Dan Kemp are loan targets for League Two outfit Stevenage.

The former is also wanted by Cambridge United, while Leyton Orient have their eyes set on bringing the latter in on a temporary basis.

Sending them out on loan to those teams could be useful for their development, but going out as a pair could be very useful for the Hammers and their two youngsters.

This is not something that would usually be done by the club, with Nathan Holland and Conor Coventry having headed out to Oxford United and Lincoln City respectively.

While this would be slightly experimental, it could also be highly beneficial for the two youngsters and the club, especially in this case.

Scully has had a highly impressive record this campaign, as across 16 games in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy, the Republic of Ireland youth international has scored 14 goals and provided five assists.

Kemp has also had a solid return, scoring 10 goals and assisting a further four from 18 appearances in the same two competitions.

The duo have already shown that they can link up against Football League opposition, when Kemp ran through and slipped the ball across to Scully, who eventually bundled the ball over the line to secure a dramatic 5-4 victory against Newport County in the EFL Trophy.

Allowing these two to go out temporarily and develop both their individual games and that partnership would surely be positive for the club.

In addition to that, with any loan move completed this month being a first for both players, it could be helpful for the pair to have a familiar face with them while they look to settle in at their new home.

Looking at the club in particular, it would be a real challenge for them as Stevenage fight to stay in the Football League - sitting second from bottom in League Two before the weekend's fixtures. So this would be a great indication of whether they have the grit to best utilise their talents in senior football.

Overall, sending them out as a double act is a move that makes real sense and could be of huge benefit.

Meanwhile, FFC sources have given an update on the potential of Dimitri Payet joining West Ham.
