Alou Diarra

No matter who takes the Upton Park helm next season, it’s unlikely they’ll be willing to retain the services of Hammers outcast Alou Diarra.

He arrived in East London as a 44-cap France international, but the defensive midfielder has since gone on to make just six Premier League outings for West Ham and recently labelled his £2million move from Marseille in summer 2012 as a ‘bad career choice’.

It’s not worked out too well for the Hammers either, and even during a short loan stint with Rennes last season, then-manager Frederic Antonetti criticised Diarra for his lack of commitment.

Still eating up the Upton Park wage bill and with a year left on his £28k per-week contract, the next Boleyn boss will surely be keen to move on the Frenchman in a bid to free up funds.
