Robert Snodgrass swiftly became the forgotten man at West Ham United shortly after he signed for the club from Hull City in January 2017.

The winger failed to cement a regular spot in the first team and as a result he was loaned out to Aston Villa last season.

At the Midlands outfit, the 30-year-old made 43 appearances, scored eight goals and created 13 assists.

There was talk of Snodgrass returning to Villa on another loan spell, but all indications are that he could reintegrate himself into the team at West Ham.

The Scotland international has featured in all four of the Hammers' matches so far, and he was in the starting XI that earned a 3-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

Many West Ham fans were impressed with Snodgrass's performance, with some declaring him man of the match.

Judging by the reaction on Twitter, there certainly seems to be a way back for the winger.
