West Ham United have just announced the signing of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski from Swansea City and Hammers fans are already getting excited about their potential new no.1.

The Irons will be even more pleased with their signing after they hear the incredible statistics about the Polish goalkeeper for last season, shared on Twitter by journalist Nebojsa Markovic.

He revealed that Fabianski faced 192 shots on targets last season while playing every minute of every Premier League game for the Swans, saving 136 of them.

This equates to saving 70.83 per cent of all shots faced for a team that got relegated, a pretty remarkable statistic.

The World Cup goalkeeper also kept nine clean sheets during the season and was made Swansea's Player of the Year.

While it is still unclear whether Fabanski will replace Adrian as West Ham's no.1, fans will surely be pleased that a proven Premier League goalkeeper who enjoyed such a strong season will be among their ranks.
