Excelling in his debut season in the Premier League and starring for France at the European Championships last summer, Payet has struggled this season, scoring twice and securing six assists, whilst he truth he has looked unsettled.
Last summer, a number of top European sides were linked to Payet’s services and the fact the former Marseille man is playing outside of European competitions could affect his position in the French national team moving forward.
