West Ham star James Collins has penned a new two-year deal at the club, report the Daily Mail.
The 32-year old Welsh defender was nearing the end of his current deal at Upton Park which is due to run out in the summer.
As a result, the stoic centre-half has been touted as a potential target for former boss Sam Allardyce, now in charge of Sunderland, heading into the New Year.
However, Hammers chief Slaven Bilic has been impressed with the former Aston Villa man during the recent injury crisis and was keen to ensure he stayed at the club.

Despite losing his place to the preferred pairing of Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna this term, the ex-Cardiff City man has performed admirably in the wake of their respective injuries.
‘I definitely intend to sit down with soon and discuss his future’, revealed Bilic.
Now in his second spell with the Irons, the 46 cap Wales international is delighted to stay with the club.
‘I don’t want to go anywhere else’, he said.
‘I would be happy to finish my career here. I love the club.’
