Teenage wonderkid to swap La Liga for West Ham?

According to yesterday’s edition of Mirror Football, West Ham will attempt to add to their striking options in January with a loan move for Barcelona youngster Munir El Haddadi.

The 19 year-old is yet another product from the Catalan outfit’s world-renowned La Masia academy set-up and has got his first taste of senior action at the Nou Camp this season after spending last term with Barcelona’s B string.

He scored his first goal in a 3-0 victory over Elche back in August and has been utilised in a bit-part rule by Barcelona manager Luis Enrique this season – impressing enough to even claim his first cap for the Spanish national team.

With Luis Suarez now back in action after his lengthy suspension for biting Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup however, El Haddadi is unlikely to see much game-time in the second half of the season.

Resultantly, Barcelona appear prepared to let the 5 foot 9 forward go out on loan in the New Year and the Hammers have emerged as one of the more interested parties.

Swansea City are also linked however, and currently considered to be one of world football’s hottest teenage prospects, other suitors will undoubtedly emerge between now and January.
