The ‘dream starting XI’ for West Ham next season

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce won’t be too disappointed with the efforts of his first team this season – after a fairly turbulent first half of the season at Upton Park, the Hammers now sit pretty at tenth in the Premier League table.

But that torrid first six months of the campaign, with particular lows coming amid the winter period, spelled out that Allardyce must significantly strengthen his squad in the summer if the East London side are to ever start looking forwards in the Premier League rather than nervously over their shoulders.

At the same time, Big Sam has regularly stated he wants to put a stellar cast together ahead of the club’s move to the Olympic Stadium.

So with that in mind, here’s a select XI, combining some of West Ham’s best players this term with transfer targets fans would love to see join the club ahead of next season.
