Inter Milan are lining up a £30m bid for West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic this summer, per The Sun.

The Italian club's new manager, Antonio Conte, is keen to recruit a forward in the transfer window.

And Arnautovic, who spent a year at the club on loan between 2009 and 2010, has been identified as a potential recruit.

The striker has a £45m release clause in his contract, having signed a new deal in January amid flirtation with a move to the Chinese Super League.

But the report claims that the Hammers could be tempted to do business at a lower figure, with the club attempting to reshape their squad under manager Manuel Pellegrini this summer.

Arnautovic endured a major dip in form after the January transfer window, going 11 games without a goal.

Should the Hammers cash in this summer, then, if Inter decide to formalise their interest with a bid?

Football FanCast's writers give their verdicts below!

Charles Jones

"West Ham should absolutely accept a £30m bid if it comes in from Inter. This move makes sense for both parties. Now aged 30, Arnautovic may not have that long left as a top-level striker so he will want to play at as high a standard as possible. The Austrian deserves to play Champions League football while he is still in his prime, and with £30m in the bank, the London club could get a more than capable replacement."

Luke Glanville

"This summer presents a bit of a win-win situation for West Ham and Arnautovic. If a club comes in with a bid of £45m they've bagged themselves a ridiculous total for a 30-year-old and the whole January saga wasn't for nothing. But if no one does, they get to keep their best striker. I don't think that the Hammers should accept anything below the release clause and certainly not this rumoured Inter advance."

Matt Dawson

"Without a doubt, West Ham should look to cash in on Arnautovic. Selling him for a possible £30m would be a brilliant bit of business by the club and after the fiasco that played out earlier last season, they should be willing to let him go. The Austrian is far too inconsistent and his attitude is embarrassing at times. If Inter do come in for him then West Ham should see it as a blessing."
