The worst possible thing to happen West Ham this season?

This hasn’t been the greatest possible seasons for West Ham fans.

A year that begun with Stewart Downing looking like Juan Riqueleme and Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia bamboozling every defence they came up against has petered out into mid-to-bottom half of the table procession.

As if things weren’t bad enough, David Cameron has thrown in his two cents my seeming to switch allegiances to the East London side. Cameron, a lifelong Aston Villa fan, insinuated that he supported the Hammers during a speech he made in South London.

The Prime minister tried to dismiss the gaffe as a simple ‘brain fade’ but there are few football fans around the country who could find such an explanation acceptable. Perhaps Cameron knows what colours his team play in but is just not too sure about the finer details, such as; club name and geographical location.
