The veteran striker netted 132 times in 277 Gunners appearances before controversially moving to Old Trafford in summer 2012, where he won a Premier League title and a second Premier League Golden Boot.
The 32-year-old left the Red Devils for Fenerbahce last summer and has gone on to score 20 times across all competitions, including 14 goals in the Super Lig.
Fenerbahce have recently denied rumours claiming they’ve terminated the Netherlands international’s contract but nonetheless, his services have reportedly been offered to Premier League duo West Ham and Crystal Palace.
Both clubs are known to be on the lookout for added firepower this summer; The Daily Mail mention West Ham’s attempts to sign RVP’s countryman Vincent Janssen and Palace’s negotiations with Liverpool over Christian Benteke.
But van Persie’s sizeable wage demands could prove problematic for the London duo.
