Felipe Anderson scored his ninth Premier League goal of the season in West Ham United's 2-1 defeat at Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

All things considered, it has been a successful first season for the Brazilian in English football.

It would probably be fair to say that the 26-year-old needs more consistency in his performances, but there is no question that he has boosted the Hammers.

And it will be interesting to see whether the London club can keep him moving forward.

It was actually Anderson's birthday on Monday and as expected, West Ham's official Twitter account was on hand with a message.

The response section of such posts is always a good indicator of how the fans feel about a particular player, and the attacker has been widely praised.

West Ham are really struggling for results at the moment, but Anderson is seemingly not to blame in the eyes of the fans.
