Transfer Latest: West Ham announce two deals on Twitter

West Ham have sealed the signing of defender Arthur Masuaku, the club have confirmed on Twitter.

The Hammers have been in the market for a new left-back ever since Aaron Cresswell’s injury in a pre-season friendly against Karlsruhre SC, ruling him out for the next four months.

They came close to sealing a transfer deal for Inter Milan’s Davide Santon, but the former Newcastle United star failed a medical with the east London club.

And that appears to have turned the Irons towards Masuaka instead, announcing his arrival at the Olympic Stadium via their official twitter account.

The French No.3 arrives in the Premier League following two title-winning campaigns with Olympiacos, registering 74 appearances across all competitions.

The 22-year-old has represented his country at U18 and U19 levels previously but is yet to earn his first senior cap.

On the outward front, Hammers midfielder Josh Cullen has signed for League One side Bradford on a five-month loan.
