Twitter reacts as West Ham & Bournemouth produce absolute snooze-fest

There’s always something about the final Premier League fixture of the weekend that suggest an absolute classic. But in the case of today’s 4pm kick off, West Ham vs Bournemouth, the phrase ‘saving the best until last’ simply doesn’t apply.

Admittedly, we’re only 45 minutes in and anything could happen in the second half. Karen Brady could take to the microphone and drunkenly declare her love for the London Stadium, James Collins could score another left-footed wonder-volley and Eddie Howe may finally stop ever-so-slightly smirking at everything.

But it’s safe to say that the first 45 minutes of Premier League football at the Irons’ new ground has been an absolute snooze-fest from start to finish, with neither side particularly pushing the issue, a multitude of individual errors and not a single clear-cut chance at goal.
