Mark Noble put things in perspective with his comments on the festive footballing schedule.
West Ham play four matches in eight days over the Christmas period, with players and managers throughout the Premier League complaining about the demands this puts on them.
However, Noble looked at the bigger picture, saying:
“It’s hard if you have family and kids and you have to leave them on Christmas Day to go and train, but we are a small minority of lucky players.”
“Think about soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq. They are not with their families and are getting bullets fired at them, whereas we are playing in the Premier League”
Well said by West Ham's Mark Noble. pic.twitter.com/Nixqz0towb
