West Ham United are closing in on Fenerbahce forward Emmanuel Emenike, according to Four Four Two.
Despite the fact he is currently on loan with Al Ain in the Middle East, the former Nigerian forward looks set for Upton Park now a loan fee has been agreed.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has struggled for options in the frontline due to a spate of injuries to the likes of Andy Carroll, Enner Valencia and Diafra Sakho.
Having managed Besiktas for a number of years, Bilic will be well aware of the Nigerian’s talents due to his exploits in Turkey.
‘We’re about to loan [Emenike] to West Ham United’, revealed Fenerbahce chairman Aziz Yildrim.
‘They will give us €1m for this agreement and they will have the option to purchase him for €11m. But the deal hasn’t been completed yet.’
Emenike made 37 appearances for Nigeria before announcing his retirement from international football in October 2015, scoring 9 times.
