West Ham United boss David Moyes has lavished praise on Marko Arnautovic following the Austrian’s excellent run of form for the Hammers.
Arnautovic, who joined West Ham from Stoke City in the summer, struggled to make his mark for the London club in the early stages of the 2017-18 campaign.
The controversial forward has thrived since Moyes came through the door, however, with a return of six goals in his last seven Premier League appearances for the Hammers.
Arnautovic starred on Saturday afternoon as he scored once and provided two assists in West Ham’s impressive 4-1 victory away to Huddersfield Town.
Moyes has paid tribute to the club’s summer arrival, claiming that the team are currently attempting to feed the 28-year-old whenever possible.
Moyes told reporters.
“Marko’s a big man to get the ball off as well, he’s got speed, he’s got power, so we’re trying to give him the ball as often as we can.”
Arnautovic, who is valued at £16.2m by transfermarkt.co.uk, cost West Ham £20m during the summer after scoring seven times in 35 appearances for Stoke last season.
The attacker’s form is currently keeping the likes of Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll on the West Ham bench.
