West Ham United boss David Moyes has revealed that Arthur Masuaku and Edmilson Fernandes are both in his thinking for Saturday's key Premier League clash with Southampton.

Masuaku played in West Ham's 3-1 friendly success over Dagenham & Redbridge last week, but the left-back has not turned out in a competitive match since picking up a red card in the FA Cup against Wigan Athletic back in January.

The 24-year-old has been on the sidelines serving a suspension, whilst Fernandes has missed the last three and a half months with an ankle problem.

The Hammers will return to the London Stadium this weekend for the first time since the 3-0 defeat at Burnley, which led to a number of unsavoury scenes.

West Ham are just two points and one spot above 18th-placed Southampton in the Premier League table ahead of their clash this weekend, and Moyes has suggested that both Masuaku and Fernandes will feature in the English capital.

Moyes told West Ham's official website:

"We hope [to have a stronger squad for the Southampton game]. We've not necessarily got loads of players back, but we've got Arthur back from a long suspension and Edi Fernandes has been taken away by Switzerland to play."

West Ham are currently sweating over the fitness of Argentina international Manuel Lanzini, whilst James Collins is also seen as a doubt for Moyes' team.
