West Ham co-chairman David Gold has revealed the Hammers have the option to buy on-loan youngster Manuel Lanzini next summer, as reported by talkSPORT.
Lanzini, 22, joined the East London club on loan from UAE outfit Al Jazira in the summer and has since become an important member of Slaven Bilic’s side.
The Argentine midfielder has scored two goals in eight first team appearances so far this term, including the first in a historic 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield at the end of August.
His performances alongside fellow summer signings Dimitri Payet and Victor Moses have led to large sections of the West Ham faithful calling for the club to sign the youngster on a permanent basis.
One fan took to Twitter to ask Gold whether the option to buy Lanzini was indeed there, and Gold responded with the news all West Ham fans will be pleased to hear.
Yes we do have an option to buy Lanzini at the end of the season. dg https://t.co/MfMITfhrkp
