The Hammers are in need of a new left-back for the coming season, after resident No.3 Aaron Cresswell picked up a knee injury that could see him sidelined for the next four months.
And that appears to have thrust them towards the Canaries’ Martin Olsson, who boasts 146 appearances in the Premier League from spells at Carrow Road and with former club Blackburn Rovers.
That includes 24 outings in the top flight last season, although the full-back couldn’t help Alex Neil’s side avoid relegation, before going on to represent Sweden at the summer’s European Championship.
West Ham have reportedly tabled a £3million transfer bid for the defender, but it’s been immediately knocked back by Norwich City.
The Canaries are preparing for a season in the Championship in which they hope to gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
