West Ham United fans think they will get relegated after their 1-1 draw with Everton on Saturday.

A goal from Issa Diop gave the Hammers hope that they could take all three points against Carlo Ancelotti’s side but Dominic Calvert-Lewin pegged the Irons back, earning his team a point.

Did he really play for us?! No West Ham fan has managed to name all of these obscure Irons signings....

The result left West Ham a point off the relegation zone, with Watford and Aston Villa also recording draws on Saturday afternoon.

And a number of supporters believe that David Moyes’ men will soon be facing up to life in the Championship in what can only be described as a knee-jerk reaction.

The Hammers do have a number of tough fixtures coming up – they face Leicester City, Liverpool and Manchester City within their next four top-flight games – but this is a snap reaction after a draw that, really, isn’t that bad of a result.

Everton have lost just one of their last eight league fixtures, and that defeat came against Manchester City.

To claim that the Hammers are destined for relegation after a draw with an in-form team still enjoying a new manager bounce following the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti is akin to throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

There are still 16 games for the Irons to play; that’s 48 points to play for.

Fans need to keep their heads.

Meanwhile, West Ham cannot afford to snub a major European star!
