He moved Juventus on loan at the start of last season and initially impressed but has struggled for game since signing for the Old Lady permanently in summer 2015, registering just 15 outings across all competitions this term.

West Ham have now made an inquiry into the 25-year-old’s availability according to The Mail, ahead of a transfer window in which the East London club look set to recruit ambitiously to mark their move to the Olympic Stadium.

It’s further claimed the Serie A champions are prepared to do business over the former Udinese star and will let him leave this summer if West Ham meet their £12million valuation.
