West Ham fans have been discussing the links to West Brom’s Salomon Rondon, and they are adamant they don’t need the relegated striker.

The arrival of Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham could mean drastic changes to the way the Hammers set up and perform.

Pellegrini has often opted for a 4-4-2 throughout his career, though it usually turns into a more non-traditional 4-2-2-2.

Either way, the Hammers will probably start next season with two central strikers, so it is no surprise to see them linked with a powerful target man to play alongside Javier Hernandez.

According to Sky Sports, West Ham, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are all interested in a summer swoop for the powerful Venezuelan.

The player reportedly has a £16m relegation clause in his contract, and West Ham are “keen” to bring him to East London.

The 28 year-old played under Pellegrini at Malaga, so one would have to think any interest in the striker is coming from the manager himself.

He scored seven league goals for the Baggies last season, and his colossal presence could certainly form a good partnership with Javier Hernandez, providing the Hammers can get enough creative players around the pair.

Fans clearly aren’t too fond of the striker though, and some of the best Twitter reactions can be found below…
