According to Tuttomercatoweb, West Ham United are interested in signing Genoa midfielder Diego Laxalt in this summer’s transfer window.
Laxalt, who has a contract with Genoa until 2022, scored three times and registered three assists in 32 Serie A appearances during the 2017-18 campaign.
Laxalt never made an appearance for the San Siro giants, however, and spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Genoa before completing a permanent move in 2016.
Everton are amongst the clubs to be linked with a move, but West Ham are also now believed to be in the hunt.
Laxalt made four appearances for Uruguay at the 2018 World Cup, and played left-back in three of those matches. He played a lot of football at left midfield for Genoa last term though, which shows his versatility.
The West Ham fans have been discussing a potential move, and it would be fair to say that they have split views on the South American.
