According to club insider ExWHUemployee, Marcus Browne is on the verge of leaving West Ham United for Middlesbrough in a £300,000 deal.

ExWHUemployee recently claimed that Browne would be departing the London Stadium ahead of the new campaign having failed to convince first-team boss Manuel Pellegrini that he would be able to contribute for the Hammers.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a decent 2018-19 season on loan with Oxford United - scoring six times and registering four assists in 34 League One appearances.

And it would be fair to say that a number of West Ham fans are not very pleased.

It is not so much that Browne appears to be leaving the club, rather the fee involved.

Indeed, if Boro are indeed paying just £300,000 for Browne then it could be one of the signings of the summer if the attacker manages to impress at the Riverside Stadium.
