Loads of West Ham fans have been giving their verdict on Saturday’s momentous win, and they’re got some pretty high praise for youngster Declan Rice.

West Ham moved into the top ten on Saturday with an action-packed win over Crystal Palace, and there were plenty of impressive individual displays from the Hammers.

Felipe Anderson continued his red-hot form with a superb goal, Robert Snodgrass is well and truly back to his best, and Javier Hernandez is looking like the striker Slaven Bilic thought he signed.

Rice was the best of the lot though, dominating the middle of the park alongside skipper Mark Noble.

With Manuel Pellegrini’s newfound love for playing two out and out strikers, there is now even more responsibility on the shoulders of 19 year-old Rice, and he stepped up big time.

The West Ham wonderkid won four aerial duels, three tackles and also made four clearances, all while completing 86 per cent of his overall passes.

His composure on the ball has stunned fans since he broke into the team last season, and they are desperate for the teenager to extend his contract, which runs out next summer.
