West Ham fans blast Cresswell on social media

West Ham United’s disappointing start to the 2018-19 campaign went from bad to worse on Saturday when they suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Hammers have now lost all four of their Premier League matches this term, with Bournemouth and Wolves both winning at the London Stadium in the early weeks.

It has not been the start that the club’s fans would have expected, and captain Mark Noble is amongst those to have received criticism over the last few weeks.

Aaron Cresswell made his first Premier League start of the season against Wolves at the weekend, with the Englishman selected in the left-back position.

The number three struggled to make his mark in the capital, however, and has now been heavily criticised on social media.

It was never going to go down well when a graphic on West Ham’s Twitter page posted comments from the 5ft 7in defender, who said that the team must stick together during a tough spell.

The West Ham fans have seemingly had enough of watching Cresswell turn out for their team, and a selection of the Twitter reaction can be seen below:
