West ham fans crucify owners over bizarre Anderson bid

West Ham fans are once again bashing their owners, after reports suggested the Hammers have bid way below the asking price for Felipe Anderson.

According to popular West Ham insider ExWHUEmployee, the Hammers have bid an initial £17.5m for Lazio’s Anderson, with some performance related add-ons.

Fans have often criticised the club’s owners for bidding way too low for transfer targets, so this news is adding even more fuel to the fire.

Recent reports suggested Lazio want something in the region of £40m for their Brazilian winger, but that they do intend to sell him this summer.

With four goals and seven assists in 21 Serie A appearances last season, the 25 year-old would bring an immediate upgrade to the Hammers’ starting 11, so they really shouldn’t be messing around on this one.

It would be a huge mistake to miss out on Anderson, especially given the loss of Manuel Lanzini to a devastating knee injury, and bidding so far under the asking price is truly quite bizarre.

Fans are destroying the owners on Twitter, although it doesn’t seem like they’re too surprised by the news.
