West Ham United announced on Wednesday that they had completed the signing of Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko, who has scored 35 goals for his country, from Borussia Dortmund.
The 28-year-old has signed a four-year contract at the London Stadium, and the West Ham fans have been quick to react to his capture.
There is no getting away from the fact that last season was very disappointing for West Ham, but the club’s supporters have plenty to be excited about ahead of the new campaign.
Jack Wilshere recently arrived at the club, and now Yarmolenko, who is a hugely talented and indeed versatile attacker, has made the switch to the English capital.
Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks have also arrived this summer to boost the defence, while Lukasz Fabianski is a very smart signing between the sticks.
It is not much of a surprise to learn that the West Ham fans are excited about Yarmolenko’s arrival, and many took to Twitter as the deal was announced on Wednesday.
