A West Ham fan account on Twitter asked fellow Hammers supporters for their thoughts on the notion of the east London club launching a move to sign Huddersfield Town midfielder Philip Billing.

Billing certainly looks as though he’d be a good fit for Manuel Pellegrini’s squad. The 6’4” Dane is a powerful presence in the middle of the park who would provide an injection of additional steel to the Hammers’ midfield contingent.

What’s more, Billing is very technically gifted and brings plenty of quality into the final third. His shooting ability from range is something he has demonstrated on numerous occasions for the Terriers, but his vision and creativity shouldn’t be forgotten either.

With a Transfermarkt valuation of just £6.3 million, Billing would be a cost-effective way for Pellegrini to bolster his ranks.

Plenty of West Ham fans were keen on discussing the potential transfer on Twitter…
