Patrice Evra joined West Ham United on a free transfer towards the start of last month, with the Frenchman penning a contract until the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

The 36-year-old has enjoyed a wonderful career, but the decision to sign the Frenchman was met by a lot of opposition.

Evra made his debut for the Hammers in the 4-1 defeat at Liverpool, before making his second appearance against Swansea City at the weekend, which also brought a 4-1 loss.

Conceding eight goals in your first two matches for a new club is not exactly ideal, and the West Ham fans have had a go at the left-back on social media.

The club's official Twitter account posted an image of the defender in training on Tuesday, and some of the supporters took the chance to criticise the former Manchester United full-back.

West Ham will attempt to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they host Burnley this weekend. Will Evra play? The fans hope not.
