West Ham United edged a seven-goal thriller at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they scored late to beat Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield led 3-1 in the English capital, but the Hammers scored three times in the final 15 minutes to complete a remarkable turnaround.

It was not the best defensive performance from Manuel Pellegrini's side, but the West Ham fans were pleased with the display of Aaron Cresswell.

Cresswell - on £50,000 a week - has previously been criticised by the club's supporters, but he assisted Angelo Ogbonna for his team's second against the Terriers.

Meanwhile, according to WhoScored, the 29-year-old, who finished the match with the captain's armband, had three shots, won four aerial duels and made three tackles during his 90 minutes on the field.

Cresswell's form has not always been the best this season, but it would be fair to say that the West Ham fans were pleased with what they saw on Saturday afternoon.
