After initially joining the club on a loan deal from Al Jazira, Manuel Lanzini quickly warmed himself into the hearts of the West Ham faithful with a series of impressive displays, scoring seven times in his first few months.

His performances led to the club taking up their option to sign him on a permanent deal, and has been one of the Hammers' creative sparks over the past few seasons.

In recent campaigns he has appeared to fall into the shadows however, with the likes of Dimitri Payet, and then Felipe Anderson last season taking the spotlight. And his start to the current season has been similarly underwhelming.

The Argentine has yet to score a single goal in seven outings across all competitions, and he produced another poor performance in the 2-0 defeat at Everton on Saturday afternoon.

As per Sofascore, the 26-year-old had a pass accuracy of just 73%, failed to provide any key passes, and lost possession 17 times - the third-most of any player for the visitors.

After seeing his display, West Ham fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts about the situation.

Many supporters of the London side slammed his lack of basic work-rate, and insisted he is simply being far too lazy in his performances. One fan in particular even urged for him to get out of the club.
