Javier Hernandez was on the scoresheet in West Ham United’s 3-1 win over Fulham in the Premier League on Friday night.
Indeed, Hernandez’s goal cancelled out Ryan Babel’s early effort, before Issa Diop and Michail Antonio registered for the Hammers at the London Stadium.
There was certainly a touch of fortune about the equaliser, though, with Hernandez clearly using his hand to convert from close range.
The Mexican lasted 64 minutes before being replaced by Marko Arnautovic and it would be fair to say that the West Ham fans were mixed on his overall contribution.
Indeed, whilst there were those who were happy with what they saw from the former Manchester United striker, others were not pleased with his performance.
The 5ft 9in ace has scored five Premier League goals this season, but his spot in the XI will now be under severe threat from Arnautovic.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the West Ham fans can be seen below:

I just don’t think he can play up top on his own. To light weight

Hernandez actually played well, and seems to be fitter than before Christmas too
— Mike Riot (@MikeTrueHammer) 23 February 2019
he might be fit, but he’s so sloooooooow

I was there and he was very poor. Did nothing apart from the handball goal
— Adam (@adambrown93) 22 February 2019
Like playing with 10 men, deluded he put in a great shift. Ran the channels incredibly well, created space and brought other players into the game. There’s more to football than being a target man
— James Hart (@JamesHart6WHU) 22 February 2019
No he didn’t put in a good shift. He is lazy and has lost his pace and eye for goal. I was there tonight as I am every game.

But can all the Hernandez fans out there please tell me what I'm missing? Lazy, does little off the ball, rarely in the right areas. Misses loads of chances. On outrageuous money & for me one of the most overrated players I can remember us having. I don't get it? #whufc #coyi
