West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that Aaron Cresswell will face a late fitness test ahead of Tuesday’s clash with Cardiff City.
Cresswell picked up an injury during Saturday’s 3-0 win over Newcastle United, and was replaced by Arthur Masuaku.
Speaking ahead of the clash with Cardiff, Hammers manager Pellegrini admitted that the 28-year-old could miss out due to a hamstring problem.

Such news would have been greeted with relief earlier this season, with a number of West Ham fans unhappy with Cresswell’s form towards the start of the campaign.
The Englishman – a 2014 arrival from Ipswich Town – seems to be back in the good books of the supporters, however, with many hopeful that the defender is passed fit for the match with Cardiff.
Indeed, a number of the fans do not want Masuaku to be handed a starting role due to his struggles this season.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the West Ham supporters can be seen below:
Need him fit, looked like his old self on Saturday, hoping he can stay in that form
