Marko Arnautovic was a part of the West Ham United team that suffered a 4-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Arnautovic struggled to make his mark against the champions, and one fan account on social media asked whether the 29-year-old has effectively downed tools amid speculation that he wants to leave the club in January.
However, the majority of the West Ham supporters appear to be behind the 2017 arrival from Stoke City, with many feeling that he pulled his weight against City despite the poor result.
Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Arnautovic, according to The Times. Although that report also says that the Red Devils will not be making a move in the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, the London Evening Standard has said that West Ham would reject any offer that arrives for Arnautovic in the winter window.

The West Ham fans have been on social media reacting to the forward’s performance against City, and a selection of their Twitter reaction can be seen below:
Statements like this from feeds like this and yourself only hate fuel to a fire that doesn’t even need started. Hes a west ham player now and rumours and talk from west ham fans shouldn’t be happening as everyone else will be talking, don’t need our own fans at it. Back arnie!!

People forget he’s ALWAYS had an attitude, win or lose. That’s his personality and it’s how he plays the game, so no, nothing different.

No. Stop the speculation. Just an off day….do we have to start a new conspiracy theory?

Not really, just don’t think he had a great game. Think he’s still playing with a slight injury. He’s definitely not downed tools or anything. Twice saw him sprint back to defend Man City country attacks.

He tracked back from a corner to the right back position to make the tackle for a city counter attack… They seems pretty devoted to me

Absolutely not. It wasn’t his fault he was starved of possession and service. His running back the length of the fitto prevent a goal proves his commitment. Someone who didn’t care wouldn’t have bothered.

No, he chased back and put in effort. Chances at a premium against a side like City. I think he could rack up a fair few goals in the next 7/8 games, hopefully!!
