Ex-West Ham United Employee has claimed that Jack Wilshere is regarded as a “very important player” ahead of next season, leading Hammers fans to lavish praise on the former Arsenal man.

Wilshere struggled immensely with injuries throughout the 2018/19 campaign, making just nine appearances in all competitions and for that reason can certainly be considered a flop.
After playing in the opening four matches of the season, he missed the next nine with an ankle injury. A short-lived comeback against Newcastle United saw him injured again and he missed over four months of football.
He did feature in three of the final four games of the campaign and there is now a hope at the club that he will be fit for the entirety of next season as Manuel Pellegrini’s men look to achieve a top-seven finish.
And fans believe that he could well be a key member of the starting line-up if he is given the chance and he can stay fit, having liked what they have seen of him, however brief.
Take a look at the best of the reaction below!
He’ll create a lot of chances if he can stay fit

He is. A fantastic player when fit. Hopefully he can stay for next season ?

Fit – best player in the squad, talent and pedigree

When fit, by far the best midfielder we have. I suggest wrapping him in bubble wrap when not playinh

It looks like he is working hard with the staff to be fit and, hopefully, reliable for the coming season. Pellegrini likes him and he is a very good player. I’m not quite sure why so many ‘fans’ are against him. I hope he plays a huge part next season.

Anyone saying he’s not important has an agenda against him. At the moment he’s still our best midfielder to link possession into attack

He is a first team starter if and when fit.

I pray that he stays fit – a permanent midfield of Rice, Wilshere and Fornals would be insane
