West Ham United returned to winning ways in the English Premier League on Saturday, comfortably seeing off the threat of Watford with a 2-0 win at the London Stadium.
After losing to Brighton & Hove Albion last week, it was vital that the Hammers picked up all three points at home to the Hornets and David Moyes’ side delivered.
Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic were both impressive, netting a goal in each half to secure the win and win plaudits for supporters.
There was praise too for Michail Antonio, who was making his first start for the club since before Christmas after suffering a calf injury.
The versatile Englishman was played in an unfamiliar left wing-back role, but delivered a committed performance and provided the assist for Hernandez to net the opener.
Fans were delighted to see him somewhere near his best again after his injury and some frustrating showings this season. They’ll be looking forward to him settling back into his familiar position on the right flank.
This was some of the reaction on Twitter to his contribution…
Ah, the Antonio power run. Nice to see that back in our attack. #WHUFC #COYI

Michail Antonio: It was great to see him somewhat back to his best. Had their RB on toast all game. Played out of position, but his pace and power were key to him having a good game. Chipped in with an assist too.
