West Ham fans mixed on summer signings

West Ham United fans have been left mixed on the club’s summer business.

The Hammers signed six players in the transfer window as they looked to back manager Manuel Pellegrini.

They broke their transfer record to sign Sebastian Haller from Eintracht Frankfurt, paying an initial £45m that could rise to £50m, per sources.

A £24m fee was lavished on Pablo Fornals, too, while back-up goalkeepers David Martin and Roberto were also brought in to add depth behind first-choice Lukasz Fabianski.

Two deals were rushed in before the deadline, too, with striker Albian Ajeti coming in from FC Basel and young defender Goncalo Cardoso arriving from Boavista.

Of course, the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Pedro Obiang have both departed, too, with Haller secured as a replacement for the former.

And while some supporters are delighted with the quality of the club’s business, others have highlighted a number of holes that remain in the squad.
