West Ham have announced the signing of Colombian international midfielder Carlos Sanchez, but the Hammers fans on Twitter aren't happy with the capture of the 32-year-old.

Sanchez was at Villa between 2014 and 2016, before spending the 2016/17 season on loan at Fiorentina and making the deal permanent last summer. While in the Premier League at Villa Park he was often caught in possession and struggled to find teammates with his passing.

The defensively-minded midfielder then spent the second half of last season out on loan in La Liga with Espanyol, making 14 appearances.

With 88 caps for his national side Colombia, Sanchez clearly has the experience, but he was sent off in their first group game against Japan in the World Cup this summer.

West Ham made nine signings this summer, including the capture of Felipe Anderson from Lazio for a club record £42m, but the Hammers fans are not particularly happy with the signing of Sanchez and some have been urging others to get behind boss Manuel Pellegrini. Check out the best reaction here.
