[ad_pod ]West Ham United fans have been brutally crucifying left-back Aaron Cresswell on Twitter after the 29-year-old made optimistic pre-Manchester United comments.

Speaking to the club's official website in the run-up to Saturday's trip to Old Trafford, the England international mentioned the suggestion of doing the double over the Red Devils, despite the Irons coming into the clash with three defeats in their previous four.

This did not go down well with members of the Claret & Blue Army who clearly feel that a repeat of last September's 3-1 win against United at London Stadium is not on the cards.

They simply laughed off the quote that was posted by the Hammers' Twitter account, still aggrieved by poor performances from Cresswell himself in recent weeks.

One supporter mused that Manuel Pellegrini's men wouldn't even be able to beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's under-18s, while another branded the comments as "hilarious" and one more savagely articulated "it would be special if you actually put a shift in for a change, Cressy."
