West Ham United fans have taken to social media to tear into one of the club’s owners following comments he made when replying to a tweet.

It has been no secret that the Hammers’ faithful have not been the biggest supporters of the hierarchy at the London Stadium outfit, however, David Gold will not have made matters any better.

The former Birmingham City co-owner was replying to a tweet left by a fan who stated that “if we get decent owners who buy decent players you will be very happy”.

The chairman replied stating: “Don’t you think our current players would find your comments insulting? Dg”.

This led to a number of West Ham fans providing remarks about previous comments made by Gold regarding a number of their own players.

Robert Snodgrass and Jose Fonte have felt the brunt of criticism from David Sullivan and Karen Brady as well as Gold.

Fans took to Twitter to provide their reactions to the comments, with a number of them sharing the opinion that the co-owners should leave the club as soon as possible, whilst others felt they should keep their comments to themselves.

Here are some of their reactions...
