West Ham fans react as Andy Carroll set to return ahead of schedule in November

According to reliable West Ham United club insider ExWHUemployee on Episode 99 of ‘The West Ham Way’ radio show, striker Andy Carroll is ahead of schedule on his latest return from injury and Irons fans have been quick to react to the news.

The tall centre forward has been plagued by injury issues ever since he moved to the east London outfit from Liverpool, and it was announced last month that he – as well as Winston Reid – would be absent for the beginning of the campaign because of an ankle problem.

However, ExWHUemployee says that the 29-year-old is making good progress and could be back in action in November, although the London Stadium faithful already seem to have run out of patience with a player who faces a tough task to even get into the squad given Manuel Pellegrini has Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez, Jordan Hugill and Xande Silva to select from.

West Ham supporters, who have demanded Pellegrini bring a Slaven Bilic buy back into the starting XI vs Bournemouth, took to social media to give their thoughts on the injury update, and while one said “Carroll hopefully fit to sell in Jan”, another said “this is classic Carroll timing”.
