According to reports in the Daily Mail, West Ham United boss David Moyes is considering making a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge during the January transfer window, and Irons fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.
The Daily Mail says that while the east London outfit want to bring in a new centre-forward and could step up their interest in Krasnodar attacker Fyodor Smolov after watching him score on Sunday, they are also keeping tabs on Reds duo Sturridge and Danny Ings.
The former has played just 431 minutes of Premier League football for the Merseyside club this term with Roberto Firmino often preferred up top, although he did start the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday.
West Ham supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on a potential move for Sturridge, and while one said it “will never happen”, another added “we don’t need a striker”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
