Loads of West Ham fans have been reacting to the latest transfer news, as Cheikhou Kouyate has completed his switch to Crystal Palace.

According to Ed Aarons of The Guardian, Crystal Palace are close to securing three new signings, and the first of those has now been confirmed as Kouyate.

Kouyate and Jordan Ayew both had medicals on Wednesday, and the club officially unveiled the Senegalese international on Wednesday evening. German midfielder Max Meyer could soon follow.

Kouyate has been linked with a switch away from the London Stadium for quite some time, but fans will have to wait and see if Pedro Obiang will follow him out the exit door.

The towering midfielder certainly had some memorable moments with the Hammers, but he is not technically gifted enough to be a part of Manuel Pellegrini’s midfield, and fans were less than impressed with his form last season.

The fee is thought to be in the region of £9.5m, which is good money for a player who is clearly not part of the boss' plans.

It is now absolutely essential that the Hammers get themselves a new central midfielder this summer, especially if Obiang leaves as well.
