According to Claret & Hugh, Michail Antonio could return to first-team training with West Ham United over the next few days.
And it would be fair to say that the news has gone down very well with the club’s fans.
Antonio has been on the sidelines since picking up a hamstring injury – which required surgery – during the EFL Cup second-round clash with Newport County at the end of August.
According to Claret & Hugh, the 5 ft 11 ace is expected to be available for selection after the international break as he closes in on a return to training with the Hammers.

West Ham are currently on a six-match winless run in all competitions and suffered a disappointing 3-2 home defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
However, the news that Antonio could soon be available has been extremely well received by the club’s supporters, as shown by the tweets below:

It’s scary how much West Ham have missed Antonio ever since he got injured. Unlike our “flare players” who seem to lack any form of fight or work rate, Antonio is the one player who wants to drive forward with the ball and not be afraid of the outcome. Having him back is huge.
