Lots of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was announced by the club that Reece Oxford had left to join Augsburg on a permanent basis.

The 20-year-old joins the Bundesliga side for an undisclosed fee and in doing so brings an end to an eight-year stay with the Hammers, in which he made history.

Oxford became the club's youngest ever first-team player when he made his debut in a Europa League qualifier against Lusitanos of Andorra aged 16 years and 198 days, and then became the club's second youngest Premier League appearance maker in the 2-0 win over Arsenal on the opening day of the 2015/16 season.

Having spent time on loan with Reading and Borussia Monchengladbach after bursting onto the scene as a teenager, it seems as if Oxford has failed to live up to his huge potential with the Irons - hopefully he can get back on track with Augsburg.

You won't believe which of Liverpool's Champions League winning side of 2005 is still playing in the video below...

Let's see how the West Ham fans on Twitter reacted to the news...
