Sebastian Haller scored his first West Ham United goal in the team's 5-3 win over German side Hertha Berlin on Wednesday afternoon.

The 25-year-old, who has moved to the London Stadium from Eintracht Frankfurt, netted in the 70th minute before leaving the field for Javier Hernandez shortly after.

And the former France Under-21 international will have been delighted to have opened his goal scoring account for the Hammers on just his second appearance.

It would be fair to say that the supporters were also pleased with the goal.

Indeed, many took to social media in the immediate aftermath of the strike to lavish praise on the 6 ft 3 attacker, who will have pressure on his shoulders in the coming season.

Manuel Pellegrini's side now face their final pre-season game of the summer against Athletic Bilbao this weekend before hosting Manchester City in their league opener.
